Stained Glass Intermediate Class


Copper Foil / Lead Came Method

Course Instructor:

Prerequisite: Stained Glass Beginner’s Class or previous experience with the copper foil method of stained glass.

This course will provide students with the information and instruction necessary to assist them in their project of choice. Instruction will be student driven, therefore determined by the questions and issues that the students would like to focus on. Topics may include: designing your own patterns, adapting existing patterns into your own designs, glass cutting techniques, assembly tips, and soldering techniques. The class atmosphere will be informal and instruction will be specific to the individual projects. Leaded panels, three dimensional design and more complex foiled panels are all excellent choices for this class.

Evenings 6:00 – 8:00pm for seven weeks

Maximum 10 students per class

Registration Cost: $120.00 + HST = $135.60

Materials:

  • Usable materials such as solder, foil, came, flux, chemicals, solder, brushes, etc. will be available for purchase during the class time.
  • To better utilize class time, such materials can be purchased ahead of time during regular store hours and brought with you to the class.
  • Project size is restricted to a maximum of 16” x 24”, maximum 35 pieces of glass in the project. Any projects exceeding these limitations will require the student to work at their project outside of class time.
  • Tools will be provides for student use and also available for purchase.
